طالبت وزيرة الداخلية الألمانية، نانسي فيزر، كلًا من شركتي أبل وغوغل بحظر تطبيق تليغرام من متجر التطبيقات، وفقا لما نقلته وسائل إعلام أجنبية.
يأتي هذا الطلب على خلفية دعوات العنف والتحريض التي تُنشر عبر التطبيق، وفقا للوزيرة.
وقال وزير داخلية ولاية سكسونيا بوريس بيستوريوس إن التطبيق أصبح محفزا للحرائق بالنسبة لمواطني الرايخ وأنصار نظرية المؤامرة والمتطرفين اليمينيين.

وجاء ذلك في أعقاب مشاورات مع وزراء الداخلية في حكومات الولايات التي يترأسها الحزب الاشتراكي الديمقراطي.
وقال وزراء الداخلية في ورقة مشتركة إن تليغرام، ومن على شاكلته من الشركات، تخدم الناس في ألمانيا بوصفها منصة تواصل لأنصار التفكير الجانبي ومنكري كورونا واليمينيين المتطرفين.
